  4. Undertake annual inspection of plant and equipment (without a lifting capability) to meet statutory requirements
  5. Complete and maintain comprehensive and accurate records, both electronically and hard copy, for each vehicle, item of plant and equipment for inspection, audit and compliance purposes. This will include the performance of all pre-hire checks, routine servicing, statutory inspection and breakdown repair
  6. Undertake the correct and regular maintenance and calibration of all equipment in accordance with instructions
  7. Maintain and inspect lifting accessories in line with current legislation

We are seeking candidates that have heavy plant experience, excellent mechanical engineering skills that are either time served or qualified. You will need to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, be polite, customer focused, responsible and methodical in your approach.

A clean driving licence is essential

AB2K are looking for a Semi Skilled Plant Fitter to join the team in our Cambuslang depot.

  • Assist the qualified fitter to undertake maintenance of hire fleet vehicles
  • Assist the qualified fitter in undertaking routine testing of safety-critical systems and equipment
  • Assist the qualified fitter to undertake annual inspection of plant and equipment (without a lifting capability) to meet statutory requirements
  • Complete and maintain comprehensive and accurate records, both electronically and hard copy, for each vehicle, item of plant and equipment for inspection, audit and compliance purposes. This will include the performance of all pre-hire checks, routine servicing, statutory inspection and breakdown repair

We are seeking candidates that have a keen interest in heavy plant with some demonstrable experience, working towards a mechanical qualification. You will need to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, be polite, customer focused, responsible and work well under instruction.

AB2K are looking for a full-time, experienced Mobile Crane Operator toa work on a range of cranes from 40t to 130t, based out of our Cambuslang Depot.

Applicants must have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • 4+ years ‘experience
  • Fully conversant with the safe operation (and where appropriate, the maintenance requires) of the item of plant
  • Blue CPCS card with A60 Mobile Crane Operator endorsement
  • HGV Class 2 Licence
  • Awareness of the appropriate safety procedures and attentive to risk at all times
  • Polite, customer focused and the desire to do a good job
  • Team player, responsible and dependable with a mature attitude

Additional information

  • Act as an ambassador for the company at all times, being courteous to clients
  • To attend all required safety briefings and ensure you understand the context.
  • To participate in compulsory drug and alcohol screening when required.
  • To report any defects in vehicles, plant and monitor safety performances.
  • To comply with the Incident Plan of the client or main contractor at all times, ensuring all incidents are reported.
  • To ensure you follow all control measures outlined in any risk assessment relating to the given task.
  • To report any accident, incident or near miss in which you are involved or you witness and to fully cooperate with any subsequent investigation.
  • To use the designated PPE at all times as directed and to maintain it in accordance with the instructions provided, reporting any loss or damage to your line manager.
  • To comply with all H&S policies and procedures within the scope of the Company’s Safety Management System
  • To undertake any other duties as directed by the Line Manager for which you are sufficiently competent to undertake.

HGV/Crane Fitter

To undertake the servicing; diagnostics; repair; maintenance and inspection of the crane fleet. All works will be in compliance with current legislation and the relevant company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
