Semi Skilled Plant Fitter

AB2K are looking for a Semi Skilled Plant Fitter to join the team in our Cambuslang depot.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
- Provide accurate information in respect of engine hours worked for each item of plant
- Assist the qualified fitter to undertake maintenance of hire fleet vehicles
- Assist the qualified fitter in undertaking routine testing of safety-critical systems and equipment
- Assist the qualified fitter to undertake annual inspection of plant and equipment (without a lifting capability) to meet statutory requirements
- Complete and maintain comprehensive and accurate records, both electronically and hard copy, for each vehicle, item of plant and equipment for inspection, audit and compliance purposes. This will include the performance of all pre-hire checks, routine servicing, statutory inspection and breakdown repair
- Undertake the correct and regular maintenance and calibration of all equipment in accordance with instructions from the qualified fitter
We are seeking candidates that have a keen interest in heavy plant with some demonstrable experience, working towards a mechanical qualification. You will need to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, be polite, customer focused, responsible and work well under instruction.
A clean driving licence is essential.
