Main Responsibilities

• Make sure that company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

• Make sure you read, fully understand and sign all Risk Assessments pertaining to all tasks and activities you undertake.
• Attend regular Safety briefings and updates, making sure you fully understand the context and also what is required of you thereafter
• Report any plant or vehicle defects whilst continually monitoring safety performance

• Undertake maintenance of the crane fleet vehicles as competently qualified to do so and as directed

• Undertake routine testing of safety-critical systems and equipment competently qualified to do so and as directed
• Undertake annual inspection of plant and equipment to meet statutory requirements
• Complete and maintain comprehensive and accurate records, both electronically and hard copy, for each vehicle, for inspection, audit and compliance purposes. This will include the performance of all pre-hire checks, routine servicing, statutory inspection and breakdown repair
• Maintain and inspect lifting accessories in line with current legislation
• Attend all training and development organised for you in relation to the work undertaken

Skills & Qualifications

• Crane and/or HGV experience
• Good mechanical engineering skills
• Qualified or time-served diesel fitter
• Responsible, methodical and good attention to detail
• Good team player with a “can-do” attitude
• Polite, customer focused with the desire to do a good job
• Holds current driving licence
• Physically fit
